COVID ARRIVED Merely Equally THE SMPAC WAS GEARING Upward FOR A GREAT Season AND IN Short ORDER, 88% OF SCHEDULED EVENTS WERE CANCELLED, INCLUDING THE TALCOTT MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL FEATURING THE HARTFORD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (HSO), FOLLOWED Past CIRCUS SMIRKUS, THE MS WALK, CONNECTICUT VALLEY FEST, MAINLY MARATHON AND NUMEROUS OTHER Pop EVENTS, ALL OF WHICH WERE CRITICAL COMPONENTS IN SMPAC'S Power TO COVER General OPERATING EXPENSES.IN THE FACE OF THE THREAT TO SMPAC'S SURVIVAL, WE PIVOTED IN Guild TO REMAIN RELEVANT AND CONTINUE TO FULFILL OUR MISSION AND Engage OUR COMMUNITY. THROUGHOUT 2020 SMPAC TOOK EVERY Measure POSSIBLE TO ELIMINATE OR REDUCE EXPENSES.
